Were seeking a Back End Engineer to help design and develop the powerful systems behind our intelligent applications. Youll collaborate with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Senior Engineers to ship performant, secure, and scalable code.
This is a hybrid position based in West London , with mandatory office days on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday .

xe2x9cx85 Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, high-performing back-end systems
xe2x9cx85 Collaborate with Data Scientists and Product teams to support AI-driven features
xe2x9cx85 Develop RESTful APIs and microservices
xe2x9cx85 Write clean, maintainable code using Java and Python
xe2x9cx85 Support database performance and reliability (NoSQL - MongoDB, MySQL)
xe2x9cx85 Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based infrastructure
xe2x9cx85 Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and system bottlenecks
xe2x9cx85 Stay current with new technologies and architectural trends
xf0x9fxa7xa0 What Were Looking For
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
At least 12 years' experience in back-end development in a SaaS environment
Proficiency in Python and Java
Strong understanding of system architecture, APIs, and microservices
Experience with relational and non-relational databases
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and cloud platforms (preferred - AWS, Lambda, EKS, or Azure, or GCP)
Strong communication and team collaboration skills
Analytical and proactive mindset, eager to solve tough problems

xf0x9fx94xb9 Experience in a fast-paced startup or product-led tech company
xf0x9fx94xb9 Knowledge of security best practices for back-end development
xf0x9fx94xb9 Exposure to AI/ML environments or working with Data Science teams
xf0x9fx94xb9 Familiarity with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and Git workflows
