Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Backfiller to join our team. The Backfiller plays a crucial role in the construction process, ensuring that excavated areas are properly filled and compacted to maintain structural integrity. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

Operate machinery and equipment for backfilling tasks Ensure that all backfill materials are placed correctly and compacted to specified requirements. Monitor the quality of backfill materials Maintain a clean and safe work environment Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow on-site. Assist in the preparation of sites for upcoming construction phases as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in construction or a similar role is preferred but not essential. Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and effectively; relevant certifications are advantageous. Strong understanding of health and safety practices in a construction environment. Excellent physical fitness, with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and maintaining high standards of work quality. Cscs cards & street works would be a bonus Must have previous experience
overtime is paid if working late.

Pay: 100.00-150.00 per day
