Job Description

We are currently looking for a Backshift Foreman to join our busy Engineering Department within the Marine Garage.

What will you be doing?

Control and organise the depot workshop workload and liaise with internal contacts on Engineering related operational matters. Maintain Lothian Buses vehicle standards Inspecting and auditing workmanship by carrying out regular quality audits on both Lothian and contractual staff Ensure all aspects of health, safety and environmental arrangements are adhered to Ensure high standards of housekeeping is maintained including vehicle cleaning Carry out final preparation MOT checks Support the Depot Engineer in ensuring the depot workshop operates within budget Produce reports Ensure that vehicle availability is such that PVR is achieved at all times

Who are we looking for?

You must possess the appropriate NVQ/SVQ level 3 Engineering qualification Have a track record in technical skill and people management Demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills Have an in-depth knowledge of DVSA and PSV standards and current HSE legislation
