Job Description

Our client, a major international banking institution, seeks an experienced Backup Engineer to join their London IT Infrastructure team. This is your chance to work with enterprise-level backup technologies in a sophisticated financial environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain enterprise backup environments ensuring 24/7 operational stability
  • Drive backup initiatives and strategic projects from conception to completion
  • Perform capacity planning and system health monitoring
  • Collaborate with global technical teams and stakeholders
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Technical:
  • Deep expertise in Veeam Backup & Replication
  • Strong knowledge of backup & recovery architectures
  • Experience troubleshooting complex stability and performance issues
  • Solid foundation in major operating systems
Personal:
  • University-level education or equivalent professional qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
  • Results-driven with the ability to work under pressure
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
Desirable: NetBackup knowledge, scripting experience, relevant certifications
