As a Baggage Hall Team Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the baggage handling area, ensuring efficient and timely processing of luggage while maintaining safety and service quality standards. You will lead a team of baggage handlers, coordinate with other airport departments, and manage operational challenges to deliver exceptional service to our airline partners and passengers.
Role Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:

• Supervise, train, and motivate a team of baggage handlers.
• Schedule shifts and manage attendance to ensure adequate staffing.
• Conduct regular team briefings and performance reviews.

Operational Management:

• Oversee the loading, unloading, sorting, and transportation of baggage.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
• Monitor equipment and report any maintenance needs or malfunctions.

Coordination and Communication:

• Liaise with airline representatives, ground handling teams, and other airport departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Address and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Maintain clear and effective communication channels within the team and with external partners.

Compliance and Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
• Prepare and submit operational reports, incident logs, and performance metrics.
• Implement corrective actions as necessary to improve service delivery.

• Proven experience in airport operations, particularly in baggage handling or a similar environment.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of aviation safety regulations and standards.
• Proficiency in using relevant IT systems and software.
• Flexibility to work shifts.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
• Certification in aviation safety or related field.
• First aid and emergency response training.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy baggage items.
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions
