We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker and Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, demonstrating a commitment to culinary excellence. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant's standards while ensuring food safety and hygiene protocols are strictly followed.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Prepare Bakery items and prep
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace
Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies
Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service hours
Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures
Participate in the training of new kitchen staff as required
Skills
Proven experience in food production and preparation within a professional kitchen environment
Strong cooking skills with an emphasis on various culinary techniques
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Experience in baking is an advantage but not essential
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
