We are the ideal touring base, being virtually at the geographical 'hub' of Scotland in Angus near Dundee and Tayside, with the most extraordinary variety of wonderful scenery on our doorstep.

What will you be doing?

We're looking for a talented and passionate Baker to join our team at Forbes of Kingennie, a beautiful country estate just outside Dundee, known for its warm hospitality, stunning surroundings, and delicious food.



As our in-house Baker, you'll be responsible for producing a variety of fresh, high-quality baked goods for our restaurant, tearoom, and shop. This is a creative and hands-on role where you'll take charge of your own working kitchen space (primarily on weekdays), with flexible hours tailored to suit the right candidate.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Baking a range of breads and rolls for use across our menus and for retail in our on-site shop. Creating traybakes, cakes, and sweet treats for the restaurant and tearoom. Supporting our kitchen team in preparing homemade desserts including Sticky Toffee Pudding, cheesecakes, and other delights for the restaurant and our wedding events. Assisting in developing a new range of homemade, packaged sandwiches to be sold in our shop.

What We're Looking For:

A skilled baker with hands-on experience in both bread and pastry/dessert preparation. Someone who enjoys working independently but can also collaborate with our kitchen team. Creativity and passion for producing food that looks as good as it tastes. Reliability, flexibility, and the ability to manage your own time and workload efficiently.


Full Time - hours to suit perfect candidate (approx. 30+ hours depending on requirements, could increase to 40+ hours)
