Have experience in food production and baking - experience within the baking/dessert industry is essential. Are enthusiastic, committed and very keen to learn. Can carry out physical work including manual lifting. Are great team players, but also work well alone.

About the role -

As a Baker, you'll play a key role in making our desserts.? You'll have a passion for quality and follow all the correct processes and procedures to ensure the best products are made and our customers are satisfied.

What you'll do -

As a Baker your role will involve working within a team, under pressure in a fast-paced, high-performance environment, helping to meet targets and timescales. You'll be dealing with the food production process and working effectively and safely in line with food safety, health and safety, and hygiene processes.

About you -

You've ideally had at least 6 months previous experience of working in food manufacturing/production. Be comfortable and confident in working as part of a team, and on your own tasks. You're comfortable with handling, preparing, and baking food. You have pride in the quality of the products you produce. You're experienced in following processes and procedures and meeting targets. You're comfortable with standing for long periods of time, lifting and carrying heavy weighted equipment, as well as other tasks such as cleaning. Once trained, you'll be able to keep up with the pace of work and work efficiently.

Shift Patterns -

Shift patterns may vary and so you'll need to be able to work between the hours of 6am-2.15pm and 1.45pm-10pm for 5 days across 7. Shift lengths are usually 8.25 hours (includes 45 mins of breaks - so 7.5hr paid work) You will not be required to work more than 5 days a week. Holiday allowance is 28 days, paid, annual leave. You may be required to work some bank holidays, but any bank holidays you work will result in a paid holiday in lieu.

Pay -

All staff are paid above the national minimum wage. Hourly pay starting from 13 p/h Pay is reviewed regularly based on performance and responsibility.
