We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our central kitchen team as a baker. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for high volume food production and preparation, demonstrating proficiency in cooking, baking, and maintaining high standards of food safety. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering exceptional dishes to our patrons.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Assist in the food production process, ensuring timely and quality output. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during service hours. Participate in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Uphold high standards of hygiene and sanitation throughout the kitchen environment.

Requirements

Proven experience in food production and preparation within a culinary setting. Strong cooking skills with experience in baking preferred. Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is highly desirable. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn new techniques. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
