Job Description

Gloagburn is a thriving family run farm shop and coffee shop on the outskirts of Perth open 8.30am - 5.30pm.

Our recently expanded farm shop stocks local, seasonal and Scottish produce, specialty foods from around the world and our own home made range including a variety of baked goods, ready meals, soups, pates, jams and chutneys from our own kitchen and bakery.

We have an opportunity for a baker to join our kitchen team. You will be working under our Senior Baker as part of a small team in our purpose built bakery within the Farm Shop.

This is initially a temporary position with the potential to become permanent. The hours are 27 - 45 per week working a nine hour day, 7.30am - 4.30pm three, four or five days from 7 including weekends.

Pay is dependent on experience, ranging from 10.50 to 13.00 per hour plus tips.

The Job

Producing an extensive range of hand finished baked goods to a consistent standard and in high volumes. Using and adhering to Gloagburn recipe's for our favorites as well as working with the team on seasonal products. Daily presentation of a variety of breads, doughs, biscuits, cakes and desserts for our restaurant service as well as for retail in the farm shop.

Will demonstrate attention to detail Should have some knowledge of bakery methods and systems Punctual and reliable - a cheerful morning person Have an excellent work ethic and thrive in a busy kitchen Great communication and listening skills Food hygiene qualification/ allergens certificate and any other relevant qualifications would be an advantage
