Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate baker/ cake decorator to join our team here at LaDolce Cucina, the Sister company of LaCucina Lounge Deli.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a keen interest in creating delightful pastries and desserts. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of our kitchen and ensuring that every dessert meets our quality expectations. Duties

Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes. Assist in the creation of new dessert items and contribute innovative ideas to the menu. Ensure all food production is completed in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service times. Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and communicate needs for replenishment. Follow all health and safety guidelines while working in the kitchen environment.

Skills

Proficient in food preparation techniques, with a focus on baking and pastry production. Strong culinary skills, particularly in creating various types of pastries and desserts. Knowledge of food safety practices and ability to implement them effectively within the kitchen. Experience working in a restaurant or commercial kitchen setting is advantageous. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to continuously improve skills within the kitchen environment.
