Job Description

We are looking for a new baker for our coffee shop in bourton on the water.

The role would suit a chef/baker/home baker with a background or interest in pastry, cakes, brownies ect who is enthusiastic about creating fresh seasonal baked goods.

Baking and preparation of our menu pastries, cookies, cakes, traybakes.

Passion for baking is a must

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate experience in a busy, bakery or kitchen environment, have excellent communication, time management and organisation skills as well as a creative flair, eye for detail. A confident, flexible attitude and the ability to take responsibility and initiative is a must.

You need to thrive in a fast paced environment as well as being comfortable on your feet,

Assisting with the efficient, smooth running of the shop kitchen Meet production deadlines; ensuring the morning bake off and finishing is completed efficiently before moving on to the days production Making, baking and decorating/finishing various kinds of cakes, sweet and savoury pastries, brownies, cookies etc. Ordering all goods as required and liaising with suppliers and other mangers Assist with the daily and weekly kitchen admin e.g. prep lists and production schedule Keep very high standards of cleanliness, good housekeeping and food hygiene & safety, making sure the team are all doing the same Complete daily and weekly cleaning tasks, keeping paperwork up to date and addressing any issues Leading by example with a passion for the products Be forthcoming with ideas to improve selection of bakes creating new products.
Full time and part time positions available

We are a small family run business in bourton on the water.

Day time hours, set days working a 2 week rota with fortnightly pay.

High monthly service charge with a average of around 2-3 per hour on top of salary
