We are currently looking to recruit a baker/confectioner to work in our Llanelli based Bakery. You will work as part of the bakery team to produce high quality, attractive and food safe bakery products to be freshly dispatched daily to each of our 28 stores.
Principle Duties:
To work as part of the manufacturing team to produce a wide variety of bakery products to our high-quality standards by following the Company's recipes, work processes and production methods. Products range from morning goods and confectionery to cream cakes and novelty items.
To operate various pieces of bakery equipment such as mixers, provers, pastry breaks, depositors, hotplates and ovens.
To monitor and record, where required, the temperatures of fridges and freezers to ensure that they are operating correctly.
To hand-decorate, finish and pack product where required.
To ensure that daily orders are picked correctly according to each shop's requirement.
To meet times identified on the dispatch schedule for transport to our shops
To monitor the use of raw materials ensuring they are used efficiently.
Identify and report to line Manager any shortages of finished or raw product.
To ensure that your work area is cleaned down at regular intervals to ensure good hygiene and food safety.
To work in compliance with the company's Health and Safety policies, rules and guidelines.
To follow all company and legislative food safety and hygiene policies, rules and procedures.
This role is full time based on a 5.5 day week (39 hours) over Monday to Saturday morning
