Responsibilities
Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies
Decorate cakes and pastries with precision and creativity using cake decorating techniques
Package baked items attractively for retail or catering purposes
Assist in food production processes, ensuring consistency and quality in all products
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and baking areas in compliance with food safety standards
Handle food ingredients safely, following proper food handling procedures
Support catering events by preparing baked goods and assisting with setup as needed
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and customer expectations
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, utilizing knife skills and other culinary techniques
Qualifications
Proven experience in baking, pastry arts, or culinary roles within the food industry or restaurant environment
Strong skills in cake decorating, food preparation, and food handling
Knowledge of baking techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen equipment operation
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members
Prior experience with packaging baked goods for retail or wholesale distribution is a plus
Culinary experience including catering or restaurant work is desirable
Basic knife skills and proficiency in food production are required
Passion for baking, creativity in pastry decoration, and commitment to quality are essential
