Job Description

We are looking for a courteous, customer-focused Bakery and Hot Food Assistant who is committed to providing customers with the best service possible.

Shifts: Monday (7-3), Tuesday (7-3), Friday (7-3), Saturday (7-3)

Bakery and Hot Food Assistant Responsibilities:

Providing responsive, exceptional service to bakery and hot food counter customers by answering questions, making recommendations and responding to requests.

Recommending, serving and packaging hot snacks and dinners.

Cooking hot food and baked goods.

Updating displays, cases, and other customer-facing areas to ensure new items and promotions are showcased.

Ordering, date checking and waste control.

Ensuring that work areas are ready to service customers by cleaning surfaces, equipment, and floors, removing rubbish and confirming that tools are in working order.

Following all food safety and hygiene procedures established by the company and other regulatory agencies.

Cooperating with others to ensure customer satisfaction.

Confirming that all displays, products, and services comply with company standards.

Bakery and Hot Food Assistant Requirements:.

Bakery counter or food preparation experience is preferred but full training will be given.

Ability to operate equipment, such as scales, ovens, hot plates, deep fat fryers etc.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Ability to comprehend and follow all company procedures and regulations regarding food handling and hygiene.

A courteous and efficient approach to handling customer requests, questions, and complaints.
