BAKERY ASSISTANT

We are looking for someone to join our team, working as a bakery assistant within our business.

The role:

Working as part of a small team baking a range of savoury products required to fulfil customer orders on a daily basis.

Preparing a range of our own made deli products and pie fillings

Packing customer orders for despatch (pies, pasties, cooked meats, deli products etc)

Maintaining a clean and tidy work area throughout the working shift as well as carrying out full cleaning and shut down at the end of each shift

The person;

The successful candidate will be a team player, and work well in a fast paced environment. They will be able to maintain quality standards whilst working to production requirements.

The position may involve lifting, bending, standing etc, so we are looking for someone with a good level of general fitness.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a pleasant disposition, be flexible when required to cover extra shifts for holidays etc, and be reliable in respect of punctuality and attendance.

Experience of working in a bakery or food production environment will be a distinct advantage.

The working week;

The standard typical working week will be approx. 35-40 hours per week, with extra hours available whilst undergoing training, and/or cover for holidays & seasonal work .

Regular working week Monday to Friday - Early start (5am - 6am as required)

The hourly rate of pay will be 12.25 per hour, paid weekly by bacs.
