Job Description

Due to ongoing expansion, we have an opening for a delivery driver within our friendly team for c.30 - 40 hours per week. Due to the nature of the business, ability to start work 04:00/05:00 is essential to deliver our freshly baked goods to customers including weekend shifts. Please note that a clean driving licence is essential as is the ability to drive commercial vans and also manual lifting to load/unload and deliver orders. This role is suited to enthusiastic, friendly, hard working, personable individuals with high levels of integrity and customer service. Key Responsibilities:

• Delivery - Responsibility for the vehicle whilst under their management. Covering shift handover inspections, ensuring road worthiness, daily defect reporting, internal hygiene and external cleanliness.
• Ensuring customer orders are picked accurately and fully and delivered in a professional and timely manner.
• Hygiene - Equipment maintained to the highest possible hygiene standards.
• Dress Code - Maintain company standards and dress code.
• Customer Interaction - The ability to interact with customers with a positive and friendly attitude. To be able to deal with questions and queries and feeding back any relevant information to the line manager. The customer needs to feel that we\xe2\x80\x99ve gone above and beyond to rectify any concerns.
• Additional Responsibilities - There may be times when your skills are utilised and required elsewhere in the business for tasks other than those identified above.

Skills/Requirements:

• A full, clean driving licence is essential
• A customer focused individual with a friendly and welcoming personality
• Comfortable working with members of the public
• Capacity to grasp new concepts quickly
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure and accurately with attention to detail
• A desire to work as part of a team to generate fresh and innovative ideas

Terms:

• Salary: will be commensurate with experience
• Working Hours: 30 - 40 hours p/w
• Weekends are included - there will also be requirements to work some irregular hours over peak periods
• Holidays: 28 days inclusive of bank holidays pro rata to your working hours
• Pension - as per auto enrolment requirements
• Notice period: 1 week extending to 1 month after initial 3 month trial period
