Job Title: Bakery Manager

Location: KNEAD Cirencester

Hours: 42.5hours per week (covering 5 days out of 7)

Salary: 32,000-34,000 per year + KPI bonus (depending on experience)

We're looking for a passionate and experienced Bakery Manager to lead our KNEAD Cirencester branch. This hands-on role combines leadership, customer service, and day-to-day food preparation -- perfect for someone who thrives in a busy, high-quality bakery environment.

Duties:

Oversee daily bakery operations, including both back-of-house and front-of-house. Be hands-on in both serving customers and preparing fresh sandwiches, salads, and light bakes daily. Bake off and finish a selection of products delivered from our central production unit (CPU). Supervise, train, and motivate team members. Maintain excellent relationships with suppliers, the CPU, and other KNEAD locations. Ensure the highest standards of food presentation, quality, and customer service with high attention to detail. Manage stock levels, ingredient orders, and daily prep to meet business needs. Monitor key performance indicators (sales, waste, labour costs, and customer satisfaction) and take action to improve them. Uphold all food hygiene, health and safety, and HACCP requirements. Lead by example, maintaining a positive and professional working environment. Report regularly to directors on performance, challenges, and store objectives.

Skills & Experience:

Experience managing a bakery, cafe, or similar food environment. Strong leadership and team-building skills. Strong attention to detail Hands-on approach -- comfortable with customers and sandwich/salad prep and light baking duties. Knowledge of food safety, allergen control, and quality standards. Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and KPIs. Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills. Passion for great food, great coffee, and exceptional customer experiences.
