Galloways Bakers are excited to offer a Bakery Operator position with the opportunity to also work as a First Sales in our shops as needed. This will allow you the opportunity to experience various different roles and aspects.

Bakery Production Operative

Galloways Bakers in Wigan, Bakers with traditional qualities.

We have 23 shops and expanding.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about baking and will become a crucial member of our production team. Candidate must have experience working in a Bakery or similar hands on experience in the food industry.

Full training will be given in all departments.

We offer promotional opportunities to successful applicants. We ask for one essential attribute: You must be conscientious, hardworking, and flexible in your working patterns. At certain times you will be required to work our afternoon shift, 16.00 - 00.00.

First Sales

This role will be responsible for assisting the shop manager in all aspects of shop operations, driving sales, managing inventory, and ensuring exceptional customer service and ensuring staff carry out their shop duties. This role requires strong leadership skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to motivate and develop your team.

Duties:

- Assist in managing the day-to-day shop operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and customer service

- Lead and motivate your team to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

- Maintain a clean, organised, and visually appealing shop environment

- Handle customer enquiries, concerns, and escalations in a professional manner
