Duties

Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience Assist customers in selecting baked goods and other food items, offering product recommendations and upselling where appropriate Prepare and package baked goods with attention to quality, presentation, and food safety standards Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area, including food handling, and cleaning equipment Ensure proper food safety practices are followed in accordance with sanitation regulations Assist with cashiering duties, including cash handling, processing payments accurately, and managing basic math calculations for transactions Uphold excellent service standards by engaging with customers professionally and efficiently managing busy periods in a quick service environment Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues on daily tasks and store operations

Experience

Previous experience in food service or retail environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and basic math skills related to retail math or grocery store operations is highly valued Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy hours Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach to engaging shoppers
