Part Time Position: Bakery Team Member

Approx 15.5 hours per week plus overtime and cover shifts - these are compulsory for all staff. You must be able to stay when required and cover staff holidays and sickness.

PLEASE NOTE THAT SHIFTS ARE NON NEGOTIABLE ONCE CONFIRMED.

YOU WILL HAVE TO WORK THIS SHIFT EVERY WEEK - THESE CANNOT BE SWAPPED WITH OTHER STAFF.

THIS INDIVIDUAL MUST BE WILLING TO COVER STAFF HOLIDAY EXTRA SHIFTS WHEN REQUIRED.

busy bakery! As a Bakery Team Member, you must be able to multi-task, have excellent customer service skills and have a positive can do attitude.

Your primary role will be serving front of house, cooking and serving food and ensuring that the shop is clean and full of all produce at all times. This is a fast paced environment and you must be able to think on your feet and always keep the front of house clean and organised. Please be aware before applying, this role involves other responsibilities such as cleaning, chopping vegetables daily, restocking etc.

This role is available immediately following a fully paid 4 week probation / trial period.

You must have fast customer service to keep up with the speed of the shop, and be willing to promote and sell us as a family business.

Tuesday: 10:30am - 2:30pm

Wednesday: 9am - 3:30pm

Trial Period: Present

Start Date: Monday 2nd June 2025

Exact hours, shifts and start sate will be confirmed following the interview and trial process.

This person must have a background in a customer service role. A background in hospitality or kitchen work is essential.

Government Entitlement for Holidays - 2.5 Days = 14 Days - Please note that this includes any days the business is closed and are your workdays and bank holidays.

Job Role & Responsibilities (please note that ad-hoc additional jobs are not included below but are required)

Serving front of house everyday A good memory - you will need to know our prices from memory and serve at a good speed Must be able to use the till system fully Completed weekly checklists and cleaning rotas Replenishment of all products / produce Partake in weekly meetings with staff and weekly meetings with management Build relationships with our loyal and regular customers Making sure all weekly tasks are completed Cooking hot food daily in a fast paced environment Cleaning front of house and in the kitchen Taking orders and ensuring every order is fulfilled Ensuring the front of the shop is run efficiently and is cleaned regularly from top to bottom Ensuring the bakery is fully stocked with all of our cakes / bread etc at all times Provide the best customer service at all times Assist with any UberEats orders and understanding this system Answering the phone and taking order Taking cake / bread / other orders Having a positive friendly attitude and going above and beyond for our amazing customers Ensuring all cleaning is shared equally between all staff, including deep cleaning when required Always keeping the shop stocked at all times!!! Food preparation - always making sure every thing is done in advance

Personal Attributes

Strong time management skills - we have many orders going out throughout the day and everything in the shop needs to be run efficiently. Excellent customer service / emotional intelligence - we have a loyal customer base and many new customers, retention is key. Good organisation - must be able to work to a strict routine to ensure all jobs get completed every week. Multi-tasking - be aware that you will often have to do multiple jobs at one time, especially when serving. Positive attitude - we are a friendly and welcoming bunch of individuals! We have a very positive can do attitude and this needs to be reflected to our customers. We like to go above and beyond to make their experience great and ensure they want to come back. Reliable - we need this person to be a trustworthy individual who we can rely on to ensure our high standards are met daily. Team worker - you are required to work in a team with multiple (friendly!) people - you must be able to work well with all personalities and work efficiently.
