Award winning Flour and Bean are looking for experienced, well-presented cafe staff, baristas and bakery assistants to join an existing team at a bakery & coffee house in Diss . Staff will be responsible for:

Counter service Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages & self-serve food Making speciality coffee Assisting with Friday Market stall Taking orders Table service Assist with cleaning Offer excellent customer service. Merchandise products neatly and re-stock when low. Work hygienically and always try to clean when quiet from serving. Follow instructions from the line Managers. Using electronic point of sale till Supplier ordering and stock taking Leading other team members Cash handling
All Bakery & Cafe Assistants are expected to:

Hold a current Level 2 Certificate in Food Hygiene or acquire one within 3 months of start date -employer will cover cost. Merchandise counter and service areas. Assist in stock rotation and stock taking. Use electronic cash registers in accordance with rules and regulations. Be courteous and polite to customers and other members of staff. Refer any complaints to your manager. Take food orders and prepare food and drink in the correct manner using the manuals provided taking care with portion control. Take an active part in working as a team and helping others for the good of the store. Learn about and understand the products you sell and actively promote all products and promotional lines. Participate in all aspects of cleaning for efficient and hygienic running of the store. Follow the Rules of Hygiene and be aware of your personal safety and the safety of others. Always be of neat and tidy appearance and wear the full uniform provided Accepting and informing the relevant staff about food and beverage requests. Clearing glassware and crockery
In Addition:

All employees must be flexible and be prepared to assist others in doing alternative work at times, although this will always be avoided where possible. This role will include Saturdays & some bank holidays. The ideal candidate will have previous Front of house and/or food retail experience & hold a level 2 food hygiene certificate, although employer will put candidates through the course.

Summary

As a Bakery/Cafe Assistant, you will be essential in delivering outstanding customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. Your premium skills in catering will enhance our offerings, while your relevant experience in food preparation, barista duties, and adherence to food safety standards will ensure high-quality service.
