Job Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Baker/Supervisor to lead our team in a fast-paced wholesale bakery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in professional baking, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality products. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily baking operations, managing production schedules, ensuring all orders are completed on time, and maintaining a high standard of product quality and food safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Production and Quality Control:
Oversee and participate in the production of brownies, tray bakes, and other baked goods, ensuring all products meet the company's quality standards and specifications.
Conduct quality checks on raw ingredients and finished products.
Team Leadership and Management:
Supervise, train, and mentor a team of bakers.
Create and manage daily baker's lists and production schedules to meet wholesale and retail customer orders.
Delegate tasks effectively and ensure all team members are working efficiently.
Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Operational Management:
Ensure all bakery operations run smoothly, from ingredient preparation to packaging and dispatch.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients and supplies to prevent shortages.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic work area in compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Troubleshoot and resolve any production issues that may arise.
Administration and Communication:
Report on production progress and any operational issues to management.
Ensure all required documentation, such as production logs and inventory records, are accurately maintained.
Communicate effectively with other departments, including sales and dispatch, to coordinate order fulfillment.
Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience as a baker in a professional setting, with experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, food safety standards (HACCP), and kitchen equipment.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to work early mornings, or late evenings.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 37.5 per week

Experience:

Baking: 5 years (required) Leadership: 1 year (preferred)
Work Location: In person
