Job Description

We are advertising for several Bank Logistic/portering vacancies. As a member of the bank you get to chose which shifts and in what localities across our Leicestershire sites you apply for when we release our shifts on a weekly basis.


As a Bank Logistics Operative you will provide cover for our sites and deliver effective, patient-focused Facilities Service (FM) when carrying out internal & external domestic duties, collect waste out of waste holding rooms, collect & deliver lining, do pharmacy runs, help R&D teams , and all other facilities actives.

What is the 'bank'? - The term 'Bank' refers to our pool of bank employees who are our temporary staffing solution, they cover annual leave and sickness across our sites.

All roles will provide a range of duties across our Trust sites and support services to ensure a safe, efficient and effective service to all patients, staff and visitors is delivered.


The Logistics operative will carry out the following Facilities Management functions



Receipt and Distribution of Healthcare related products Transportation of linen cages, waste bins / carts in and around hospital environments. Patient moves (reception to department or department to department Domestic and Reception cover Conveyance and movement of patients by wheelchair, trolley, bed etc. including assisting clinical staff to reduce risk To ensure all waste is collected, transported and disposed of in accordance with Trust Policies and procedures and current legislation.
