Band 3 Rotational Physiotherapy Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated team player to join our inpatient physiotherapy team as a band 3 assistant.



You will rotate six monthly across orthopaedics, ED & frailty and acute medicine.



Your role will be supporting the physiotherapists in the delivery of care by providing routine clinical treatments, as well as carrying out non clinical tasks including equipment management and ensuring communication between the acute and community trusts.



To support the Physiotherapy team in delivering treatment and rehabilitation by practicing exercise, transfer and mobility. To use a wide variety of manual handling equipment to support treatments such as hoist, sliding sheets, rota stand, sliding board, walking frames, crutches and sticks. To be able to work with direct or indirect supervision dependant on complexity of patient/task and recognise limitations of

practice, and appropriately feedback to qualified Physiotherapists. To attend all relevant training, and ensure ongoing CPD towards achieving all band 3 Physiotherapy Assistant competencies
