An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Therapy Technical Instructor within the T&O Integrated Therapy team.
You must have significant experience as a Band 2 or 3 Therapy Assistant or currently be working as a Band 4 Technical Instructor. You must be well motivated, enthusiastic and committed to delivering high quality care and service delivery to patients who have a wide range of orthopaedic conditions.
You will be working under the guidance of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists carrying out a range of assessments/reviews of patients both on the In - Patient wards and in the Pre - operative Education Groups for elective joint replacements. You will be undertaking a range of tasks independently within a supported environment. You will be able to work flexibly depending on the needs of the service.
The In - Patient Integrated Therapy Department is committed to continuing professional development and has an established in-service training programme.

Main duties of the job
To support the qualified Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in providing a Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy service to the orthopaedic elective and trauma wards.
They will work flexibly across all disciplines (Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy) to provide holistic care and meet service needs.
They will be responsible for an identified caseload of non-complex patients with indirect supervision from a registered therapist, implementing therapy led treatment plans to provide rehabilitation.
