Job Description

To contribute to the development, planning and delivery of a variety of Immunisations within a number of different environments. To undertake appropriate health assessments prior to Immunisation, in line with national guidance, Immunisation policy and the best evidence based practice. To liaise with schools, families and other organisations, providing clear, relevant information promoting Immunisations and supporting the process of obtaining informed consent. To deliver the immunisations ensuring safe and best practice is maintained.

To be competent in all aspects of Immunisations and act as a resource for professionals, public education and other services. To participate in the induction and training of new staff, student nurses and other appropriate care workers. To assist in the ordering of vaccines and Immunisation equipment.
