Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, interested in expanding their clinical skills and experience, to work within Mid Essex Community Mental Health provision for adults covering Chelmsford and Braintree and surrounding area.



While this is a Band 6 role we are happy to consider applications from experienced and motivated Band 5's who feel ready to take on the challenge of a Band 5-6 development post.



You will be working as part of a small, friendly and skilful Occupational therapy team to provide focused Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to clients through 1:1 and group work. The team has embraced creative ways of supporting client's individual recovery, using mediums including an allotment group and a walking group to support meaningful client engagement.



The OT team sits within the wider multi-disciplinary teams providing holistic support for clients with complex and enduring mental health needs requiring secondary level mental health care .



The base for this role is negotiable with the team working between the Gables in Braintree and the C&E Centre in Chelmsford.



Working within this busy team environment you will have the opportunity to develop a wide range of clinical skills; including but not limited to undertaking OT assessments, care planning, delivering interventions - through group and individual sessions, and the supervision and appraisal of junior staff.



The post holder will have access to professional supervision and leadership within the team.
