Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment, providing essential patient care to individuals recovering.

Duties

Assess patients' physical and mental abilities through observation and standardised tests to develop appropriate treatment plans. Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' ability to perform daily activities. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including speech therapists and case managers, to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and their families about treatment options and strategies for managing their conditions. Maintain accurate records of patient progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary. Stay updated on best practices in occupational therapy and participate in ongoing professional development. Provide support in paediatric settings, addressing the unique needs of children with developmental challenges.

Requirements

A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology. Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is highly desirable, particularly in ICU or paediatrics. Familiarity with case management principles and practices. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to patients and their families. A commitment to providing high-quality patient care and improving patient outcomes. Previous experience with medical imaging techniques is an advantage but not essential.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: 25.00-40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22.5 per week
