Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Band 6 Recovery Nurse to deliver high-quality post-operative and recovery care within a prison healthcare setting. The successful candidate will ensure safe, compassionate, and effective care for patients in a secure environment.

Key Duties

Provide recovery care and clinical monitoring post-surgery or medical procedures Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised patient care plans Manage and respond to emergency situations confidently and promptly Administer medications and maintain accurate clinical records Work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team and security staff Maintain infection control and health & safety standards Offer health education and support to patients in recovery Ensure care is compliant with relevant clinical and prison policies

Requirements

Prison Clearance (Essential) Full UK Driving Licence (Essential) NMC Registered Nurse (Valid PIN) Minimum Band 6-level experience in recovery or acute nursing Ability to work independently and within a secure clinical setting Excellent communication and patient care skills
