Camden Neurology and Stroke Service



Band 7 Occupational Therapist



Part time - 30 hours



We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team .



The team works with adults with neurological diagnoses in Camden, and is comprised of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, clinical neuro-psychologists and rehabilitation assistants. We have a strong focus on multi-disciplinary working and therapists work with clients in their homes, in the community or at local health centres, with the aim of providing client centred, goal focused therapy, promoting independence and community integration.



Working within the team you will have the opportunity to work with a varied and diverse range of neurological conditions, you will also gain experience in providing specialist early supported discharge for stroke survivors.



The Band 7 role is responsible fo r the support and supervision of the band 6 OTs , along w ith the other Band 7 OT within the team and will in tur n receive support from the Lead OT . The role involves ensuring the smooth daily running of the OT service, triaging, supporting the MDT as appropriate , and working with the OT team to ensure the effective and efficient provision of the OT service within the wider team.



The team embrace s inno vative and evidence based ways of delivering services and strives to provide a high quality service for all. The team are continually developing and working t oward s improving service delivery and new ideas and contributions are always welcome.



There is access to in -service training programmes, which the successful appl ica nt would be encouraged to atten d and take an active role in.



The team is based at St. Pancras Hospital, situated close to the amenities and transport links of Kings Cross and Camden . The team currently work monday to friday 9-5pm .

Holding a complex caseload of patients



Supporting and supervision of the Band 6 OTs



Complete triaging for new referrals along with the rest of the team



Working in partnership with the other B7 OT in the team to support the learning needs of the OT team, ensure CPD opportunities and participate in Audit, QI projects



Deputising for the Lead OT
