Remit

Compass Associates are currently assisting in the search for a Band 7 equivalent MSK Physiotherapist to join our clients team of staff in the Physiotherapy department at a healthcare centre in Basingstoke.

Rated as "Good" by the CQC, this practice is part of a private healthcare group that has previously won \xe2\x80\x9cPrivate Hospital Group of the Year\xe2\x80\x9d in LaingBuisson Awards.They offer a full range of medical, surgical and diagnostic services to patients.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will need to be a fully qualified, highly experienced Physiotherapist with a current registration to the HCPC and CSP. The post holder will manage a general MSK clinical caseload and must be able to know when to refer on to the appropriate specialist when required. Working alongside a team of B5 and B6 Physios along with FCP / APPs, the team work collaboratively to ensure a smooth journey for every patient.

The successful candidate will also take an active role in providing supervisions and training sessions with the Band 5 and 6 clinicians.

This permanent role offers 37.5 hours per week, although part time can be considered. Monday to Friday only between 8am to 6pm.

Requirements

\xe2\x80\x93 Chartered Physiotherapist.
\xe2\x80\x93 Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
\xe2\x80\x93 Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
\xe2\x80\x93 At least 5 years MSK experience.
\xe2\x80\x93 Knowledge of the Care Standards Act and Care and Quality Commission Requirements.
\xe2\x80\x93 Knowledge of Quality Assurance tools.
\xe2\x80\x93 Strong organisational and planning skills, including risk management.
\xe2\x80\x93 Knowledge of the NHS pathways, guidelines and protocols

Duties

\xe2\x80\x93 To undertake comprehensive assessment of patients including those with a variety of simple to complex presentations.
\xe2\x80\x93 To deliver the service on a face-to-face assessment and treatment basis and, where necessary, refer onward.
\xe2\x80\x93 To work as an autonomous practitioner utilising analytical skills to form an accurate diagnosis and inform patients of realistic rehabilitation prognosis and future prospects with respect to work, sport, function etc.
\xe2\x80\x93 To identify clinical problems and use clinical reasoning skills to establish patient-centred goals and draw up treatment plans utilising a wide range of treatment skills and options; seeking clinical guidance or second opinion as clinically indicated.
\xe2\x80\x93 To continually reassess and evaluate treatment outcomes to facilitate appropriate discharge or onward referral of patients.
\xe2\x80\x93 To communicate effectively with patients of all ages, taking into consideration their mental health and psychological effects of pain, trauma, injury etc or dementia, hearing and visual impairments, aggressiveness and a history of alcohol/drug abuse.
\xe2\x80\x93 To keep up-to-date with clinical protocols, guidelines, pathways and new trends, developments and research for the benefit of clinical practice.
