Look no further.We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Band 7 Respiratory Clinical Lead.As a Band 7 Respiratory Clinical Lead you will work closely with our Community Specialist Respiratory team based in our Orbital Hub in Swindon. You will aim to provide evidence-based, specialised care for community patients with respiratory conditions in their own homes, clinics or other community settings. This service supports patients following admissions to hospital for acute exacerbations of COPD, provides Oxygen assessment, interpretation and prescription for adult patients, and runs the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programmes. The post holder will work across all areas of the respiratory service, within the supportive and multidisciplinary community respiratory team to provide expert clinical assessment and management of respiratory patients.Main duties of the jobAs Band 7 Respiratory Clinical Lead you'll assess, monitor, and manage complex needs helping patients stay well at home and avoid unnecessary hospital admissions.Empowering patients to take control of their health. Through education and support around smoking cessation, medication adherence, exercise, and symptom management to improved quality of life.You'll collaborate with hospital teams, GPs, and community services to provide timely care for acutely unwell patients. You will also lead and innovate in the delivery of Community Pulmonary Rehabilitation (PR), expanding access and mentoring colleagues in clinical delivery.Strong, compassionate communication is essential you'll tailor your approach to meet diverse needs and ensure patients understand and consent to their care. Managing your own caseload, you'll support service delivery, prioritise resources effectively, and contribute to a safe and inclusive environment.Alongside direct care, you'll play a proactive role in educating patients, carers, and professionals, contributing to the development of accessible information and consistent care standards. Maintain accurate digital records to support quality and evaluation.Ongoing professional development is central to this role.   • Registered General Nurse or Allied Health Professional (AHP) qualification
