This is an exciting opportunity to step into a pivotal leadership position within BaNES Talking Therapies , a compassionate and innovative NHS Talking Therapies service. The service offers evidence based treatments to residents of Bath and North East Somerset who may be experiencing common mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, stress and low mood.
As a Deputy Service Lead (Supervision) , you'll play a central role in shaping the clinical quality, culture, and operational effectiveness of our team. Blending clinical excellence with strategic oversight, this role offers the chance to make a real impact -- supporting staff to deliver outstanding care, driving service improvements, and helping to shape the future of mental health provision across Bath and North East Somerset.
You'll work closely with the senior management team to support day-to-day operations, lead on clinical supervision, and contribute to the ongoing development of a service that is committed to innovation, inclusivity, and high-quality outcomes for patients. You will maintaining clinical excellence with oversight of, and responsibility for the clinical supervision provision for all therapy modalities within the service.
Be an active member of the senior management team, supporting operational delivery and deputising for the Service Lead.
Act as a Lead Clinician and offer 1:1 treatment sessions
Supervise and oversee the development of the service and quality of supervision provision across all therapeutic modalities.
Provide expert guidance on complex cases, risk management, and safeguarding.
Line manage and oversee the work of a team of High Intensity Therapists and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners
Maintain an NHS Talking Therapies manual compliant service
Contribute to service development initiatives aligned with NHS Talking Therapies standards and local strategic objectives.
Represent the service at meetings and deliver presentations, both internally and to outside organisations
Oversee links with voluntary and community organisations.
Lead on quality assurance, audits, and clinical governance processes.
Support recruitment, induction, and ongoing development of clinical staff.
Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion in both clinical practice and service leadership.
