Community Integrated Care is recruiting for a Bank Advanced Support Worker, with flexible shift patterns for our Service in Sheffield, S5.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced support worker to step up. You will support adults with learning disabilities and autism, who have complex needs, to lead the best life possible.

Who will you be supporting?
  • We are a supported living service based in Sheffield with our ages ranging between 20 and 50.
  • We have a range of challenges and a team of staff that support us to live our best lives possible. These challenges include Mental Health, Autism, PDA and complex learning disabilities.

We do a different range of activities, once we find out what the people we support are interested, we then make this out mission to provide that extra support to organise the activities. These include: attending art groups, dancing classes, going to the seaside, going out to concerts also we have an indoor games room with football table, pool table, we have card games, board games, bingo, karaoke and much more.
We follow policies and procedures, that are there to support and guide us and in our best interest to do so. We go the extra mile for the people we support and for each other and always have a smile on our faces!
Other information?
  • As a service we are made up of 8 individual flats, we have an office where everyone is welcome sit and chat. We also have a communal area where people can participate in a range of games or just relax and watch a movie. We have a large garden including a ping pong table, patio area for Barbecues in summer and grass to even kick a football about.
  • The service is easily commutable from Sheffield town centre with 2 bus services that run every 30 minutes.
Wordsworth location is perfect for the people we support the local community is friendly, we have lots of activities to do around us, lovely walk and we are close to everything needed for the day to day lives.
we have 5 colleagues on shift at one time, but this might be changing soon as we are a growing service. At Wordsworth we may do a 12-hour shift as this works for the people we support who live there currently. The day shift is 7.45 am to 8.15 pm, night shift from 7.45pm to 8.15 am, we can accommodate some flexibility
We ask that those interested in working with us have experience working in a health or social care setting and to have worked with people with complex needs that may present challenges to the service. An NVQ or a diploma in health and social care would be desirable. All training is provided by Community Integrated Care
Your values:
The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 in Social Care and strong experience in mental health, autism and sensory communication, and physical health.
If you do not have a qualification, you will need to have experience in social care.
You will know how to connect with people and be passionate about supporting people to live independently. You will also be a brilliant mentor and share your skills and experiences with your colleagues.
We will develop your talents with a range of specialist training, including the opportunity to learn Positive Behaviour Support methods, Makaton and the Picture Exchange System.
During recruitment you will meet the people we support in their home. This will allow you to see their wonderful personalities first-hand and fully understand the level of support that they require.
