MAIN PURPOSE:
To assist in the provision of meals and refreshments, and the maintenance and cleaning of kitchen equipment.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible to assist in the preparation and serving of meals and refreshments
Responsible for washing up used utensils, pans and crockery in the dishwasher, hand washing certain items as appropriate
To clean kitchen work surfaces, equipment, floors, fridges, freezers and other storage cupboards in line with cleaning schedules and record as instructed
Responsible to ensure all equipment is stored away and the kitchen left clean and tidy at the end of each shift
Reporting of equipment faults, repair and maintenance needs in line with local procedures
Monitoring and reporting supplies requirements
To record all information as required by Brainkind policies and procedures
To ensure that meals and refreshments are attractive to service users and in line with Brainkind standards
To assist the Head Chef and Chef to provide services that meet the Brainkind and regulatory body standards
Facilitating the safe and smooth running of the Service, the post holder is expected to maintain a safe working environment, maintain service user confidentiality, and occasionally taking on reasonable additional tasks
ABOUT YOU:
Level 2 food hygiene certificate or willing and able to complete within 2 weeks of starting employment
Able to work as part of a team
Able to communicate verbally and in writing
Able to work within policies and procedures
Experience of working in a similar environment
