The Bank Catering Coordinator will be working on a Casual basis and any work that the Hospice offers you on our bank will be on an as and when required basis.
The role includes
Assisting in all food preparation and kitchen cleanliness, maintaining the highest standards in order to meet all coffee shop, education suite and patient requirements.
Communicating with patients, staff, volunteers, visitors, carers and external suppliers to ensure effective and efficient service delivery
Liaising with nursing staff over day to day duties such as the tea trolley.
To plan and develop menus in consultation with nursing staff and patients taking into account any dietary and allergen special requirements.
Work with cleaning schedules for the kitchen areas and ensure cleanliness is of the highest standards.
Provide nutritious, well presented home cooked meals of good quality to meet clients needs
Responsible for stock control and food ordering, ensuring best practice at all times
Use a range of basic kitchen tools and machinery as well as standard catering equipment
Assisting with the provision and distribution of beverages and food to clinical areas, coffee shop and education suite
Ensuring all work areas are kept clean and tidy
Ensure food records are carried out as required by Health & Safety and Environmental health standards and best practice
Cleaning of all kitchen and pantry areas to agreed cleaning schedules.
Assisting patients/relatives with menus and meal choices.
Job Types: Zero hours contract, Permanent
Pay: 12.21 per hour
