We are a luxury 71 bedded care home, with a variety of food offerings Bar bistro, fine dining and general care home menu, we also hold community marketing events that need catering for.

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, along with excellent leadership skills to manage kitchen operations effectively. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality while creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service. Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Develop new menu items and specials that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Monitor food quality and presentation, making adjustments as necessary to meet guest expectations.

Experience

Proven experience in a similar Chef role within a restaurant, care home or hospitality setting. Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation. Experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing a team effectively. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen environment. Previous experience in menu planning and development is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.
