Bank contract, flexible hours, as and when required

Hourly rate 13.68 per hour

We have exciting opportunities at Sunlight Children's Care Ltd to work as a Residential Childcare Support Worker, working with young people between the ages of 8 -18.

About Us



Sunlight Children's Care is a family run residential childcare provider, offering a variety of residential placements to young people between the ages of 8 - 18 who may display emotional and challenging behaviours. The young people placed within our services have often experienced significant adversity and trauma in their young lives and may no longer able to reside within their familial / foster home.

Our aim is to create a safe and sustainable nurturing environment for our young people and a developmental and rewarding workplace for our care team. We ensure our team(s) adhere to Ofsted standards and guidelines referencing the Children's Act and Children's Care Standards, Ofsted is the looked after children's regulatory body.

Our position



We have an exciting opportunity within Sunlight Children's Care Ltd to work as a therapeutic Children's Residential Childcare Support Worker, working with young people between the ages of 8 -18.

The Bank Residential Childcare Support Worker vacancy is open to experienced candidates who hold or working towards their Level 3 diploma in Children's and Young People or a higher qualification but we will also consider a person with transferable experience and understanding of the challenges young people and carers face within a residential care setting.

The hours of work for the Bank Support Worker role is to cover gaps in the homes rota when our permanent staff are on annual leave or sickness. A daily shift is from 08:00am -11:00pm plus a sleep. Sleep shifts are paid hourly throughout the night.

A full UK driving licence is essential.

You may be completing your Level 3 /4 diploma in Children and Young People or have experience in childcare or youth setting at a Residential Childcare worker level and an understanding of the challenges young people and carers face within a residential care setting.

A Full UK driving licence is required.
