Job Description

We are looking for bank/support staff for our team of early years practitioners preferably with a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in early years and some experience in a nursery.

Hours: This position is flexible depending on your availability and the needs of the business. The nursery opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm, but most shifts are likely to be between the hours of 9 till 3. May suit someone wishing to gain experience or to get back into work. Some shifts may be organised in advance and others may be last minute (providing the candidate is available) to cover staff sickness etc.

Overtime: There will be the option for overtime at our holiday club for primary school children (first week of Easter holidays and 4 weeks in the summer).

About us: We are a small team who work closely to provide the best possible early years education for our children. We have a very flexible ethos, meaning we adapt our routine, set up and provision according to the needs of the children - sometimes on a day to day basis. We work very closely with families as we believe our role is not only to support the child. Our main aim is for children to have fun while we support them to learn and develop through their play.

Job responsibilities:

You will be working with children aged 6 months to 5 years.

You will be required to interact with children 1:1 and in groups, positively and in a way that encourages learning and development.

You may be asked to plan and implement activities inside and outside, with guidance to understand what you are doing and how it benefits the children.

You will be required to undertake personal care routines such as nappy changing and toileting for all children in the setting.

You will also be required to support with cleaning and packing away the setting at the end of the day.

You will support routines such as snack time, singing/storytime or other group activities.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.30-13.50 per hour
