Position: Bank Early Years Staff
Reporting to the Kindergarten Manager
Hours: Variable; Contract Basis: Short- or Long-Term Ad-hoc positions during Term-time

INTRODUCTION
Drumduan School is looking for unqualified and qualified bank Early Years staff to cover or supplement our permanent or part-time staff. Typically, we need bank staff to cover sickness, absence, and periods of staff breaks and administrative duties. Successful applicants should have experience working with young children (ages 3 to 6) and be enthusiastic and friendly with the skills to support the team in offering high quality of our Early Years provision for children and families.
A passion for our Steiner Waldorf led education is desirable and previous experience as a practitioner in an Early Years setting.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of the Bank Early Years may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Work with the Early Years team in setting up our Kindergarten spaces.
Provide cover for Key Workers group of children providing positive experiences and interactions for children.
Be able to support children's learning through experiences and outcomes related to the Kindergarten's principles and values.
Support and implement the daily rhythm.
Provide a role model as a reflective practitioner.
Comply with the Kindergarten's and school's policies and procedures.
Complete and follow Risk Assessments, Health and Safety procedures, complete documentation including recording accidents and incidents.
Requirements:
Registered or willing to register with SSSC.
Must be eligible to work in the UK.
If Qualified to SCQF level 7 in (HNC/SVQ 3) Childhood Practice/Early Years and Young People, you could be currently working towards this. If Unqualified, willingness to work towards qualification.
Passion for Steiner Waldorf led education.
Experience in an Early Years Practitioner role or similar.
Full, clean PVG membership.
Understanding and commitment to all Child Protection and Safeguarding policies and procedures.
To always act in a professional and confidential manner.
Able to communicate closely with the Kindergarten teachers and faculty in general.
Willingness and the ability to adapt are essential.
First Aid Certificate, Food Hygiene Certificate desirable.

CONTEXT
Drumduan is a modern and progressive Steiner School located in the beautiful North-East of Scotland overlooking Findhorn Bay and the Moray Firth, with an emphasis on experiential education, nature connection, and the creativity that flows from children being given the space to develop in a low technology school environment. The school currently has students from Kindergarten to Class 12 in the Upper School with teaching and non-teaching staff.
Our school operates with a collective decision-making structure, the college of staff, at its centre. The Coordinator Leads Team aims to coordinate the running of the school to best support its pedagogical purpose.
In addition, there are School Development Groups (SDG) that are formed to hold fundraising initiatives together with the Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA). The Operations Team works closely with the SDG.

Candidates must be suitable to work with children and will be expected to be registered with the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) Scheme, under Disclosure Scotland. Candidates must have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
Candidates from abroad will be asked to provide criminal records clearance from countries of residence, as well as evidence of eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
If applying for a Teaching role, candidates must register with GTCS within 6 months of commencing employment and fulfil all membership requirements. Applicants must also complete first aid training, and complete sufficient Continuous Professional Development (CPD) yearly training to meet the requirements of your professional registration.
