We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and safety standards are met.
Responsibilities
Food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all surfaces are sanitised and tidy.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained.
Meal preparation for catering events and daily service, ensuring timely delivery of dishes.
Inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen manager.
Participate in cleaning duties at the end of shifts, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred but not essential.
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology is advantageous.
Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is highly desirable.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role.
A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field is a must.
