JOB DESCRIPTION: KITCHEN / DINING ROOM ASSISTANT

Principle Duties of the Job

Washing up of pots and pans, rinsing of crockery and cutlery, stacking of dishwasher and general up keep and cleanliness of this area, including the dishwasher.

General and deep of Kitchen and ancillary areas of kitchen in line with current cleaning schedule.

Cleaning of kitchen equipment.

Assisting with simple preparation and serving of food when necessary.

Keeping dry stores well maintained and clean and tidy.

Adhere to the Policies of the Home and attend updated training as required.

To ensure compliance with Health and Safety at Work Act.

To be aware of and comply with requirements regarding substances hazardous to health (COSHH)

Serving food.

Assisting Residents who need help either with their meal or with hot drinks and fluids.

Maintain a presence in the dining room to be on hand to offer assistance where needed.

Clear up dining room after meals, changing table cloths and napkins when necessary.

Clean tables, wash floor as necessary, dust and polish furniture.

Pay: 12.41 per hour
