We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Mental Health Nurse to join our Mental Health team at HMP Leeds, a category B Prison located in Gloucester Terrace in the Armley area of Leeds in West Yorkshire.

You'll receive an hourly rate of 23.00 per hour.

What you'll be doing





As a Bank Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will




carry out comprehensive assessments, initiating and reviewing care plans, and developing treatment options. You will undertake medication rounds, and assess and treat patients who may have undergone traumatic experiences and may be distressed. You will assess patient's health needs using an evidence based framework and be able to risk assess use sound clinical knowledge, as well as Open, maintain, close and take part in reviews of individuals being managed under the Prison Suicide and Self Harm risk management system known as Assessment, Care in Custody and Teamwork (ACCT) Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them

Requirements




Registered nurse - Mental Health Current professional qualification (NMC) Evidence of Continued Professional Development Experience of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working A non-judgmental and compassionate approach Excellent communication skills Understanding of mental health policy including clinical governance and the quality and
outcomes framework, along with national standards such as NICE
