Job Description

Due to continued success and growth across Essex, the Second Steps team are looking for a

qualified

relief/bank nursery practitioner to work with all ages from 3 months to 5 years. We are looking for an enthusiastic, happy, fun practitioner who is good at thinking on the spot and being spontaneous to work flexibly between the hours of 7-7 Monday- Friday supporting the needs of the nursery.

(All year round, however can be flexible within the holidays to suit the needs of nursery and candidate).

Our nursery follows a child-led approach using the children's interests to support and assist the children's development. We are a lovely home from home setting using natural resources and have a great outdoor space in order to enhance the children's development through free-flow!

About the role we require:

- Willingness to learn

- Previous experience of working with young children.

- Sound knowledge of child development for children from birth to five years.

- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

- Knowledge of child protection procedures.

- Good communication skills.

- An understanding of play based approaches to children's learning and development.

- Commitment to equal opportunities.

- Friendly and flexible approach at work which facilitates the development of effective relationships.

- To be enthusiastic and to be able to work effectively within a team environment.
