Were looking for an enthusiastic and clinically confident Bank Pharmacist to join our friendly and supportive Pharmacy team at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Shepton Mallet. Main duties of the job
As our Bank Pharmacist, you will deliver high-quality pharmaceutical care while working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary teams. Your work will directly support safe prescribing, medication optimisation, and positive patient outcomes.
Day-to-day, you will:

  • Provide evidence-based clinical pharmacy support to consultants, nurses and other clinicians
  • Deliver safe, efficient, and patient-centred medicines management
  • Offer clear, accessible advice to patients and staff to ensure medicines are used appropriately and effectively
  • Support the monitoring, review, and supply of medicines across inpatient and perioperative pathways
  • Assist in meeting statutory and professional requirements around the safe management of medicines
  • Contribute to quality improvement, safety standards, antimicrobial stewardship and enhanced recovery pathways
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with GPhC, NICE and Practice Plus Group standards
This is a varied role where your clinical judgement and communication skills will help ensure patients receive the best possible experience.

  • A Masters degree in Pharmacy and GPhC registration
  • Clinical experience gained in a pharmacy setting, ideally including hospital exposure

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
  • A patient-safety-first mindset and a commitment to evidence-based practice
