We're looking for an enthusiastic and committed

Bank Pharmacy Technician / Accredited Checking Technician (ACT)

to join our pharmacy team on a flexible, as-and-when basis. This is a fantastic opportunity if you're looking for greater work-life balance, want to supplement your existing role, or prefer a more flexible way of working while still making a direct impact on patient care.



As part of our Bank workforce, you'll provide vital support to ensure our pharmacy service runs smoothly--helping us maintain safe, effective, and efficient medication management across the hospital.


What you'll be doing





In this varied and hands-on role, you will:


Carry out daily stock checks, managing pharmacy supplies and ensuring all medicines are in date and stored correctly. Order and rotate stock, working closely with clinical staff to keep levels accurate and efficient. Dispense and accuracy-check prescriptions in line with SOPs (if ACT-qualified), working closely with our pharmacists. Support the management of TTO (To Take Out) medication distribution to Ward and PACU areas. Monitor fridge and room temperatures and ensure all medicines are stored safely. Liaise with pharmacists regarding medical alerts and clinical governance updates. Provide audit support, maintain accurate records, and contribute to the safe, compliant running of the pharmacy. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting consultants, GPs, nurses and pharmacy colleagues.

Every shift helps contribute to excellent patient care and a well-run, high-quality pharmacy service.

What we'll look for in you





We're looking for someone who brings both skill and a great attitude to the team. You'll need:


NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Technician qualification and ideally ACT accreditation. Experience working in a pharmacy environment, with strong knowledge of dispensing processes. Confident communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical colleagues. Good IT skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safe, accurate working practices. A calm, friendly and professional manner--especially when working under pressure. Flexibility to work Bank shifts depending on service needs.
