This opportunity is for

registered nurses, paediatric nurses and qualified Nursing Associates

to join our Bank Team, based at Musgrove Park in Taunton.

We value our RGNs highly, so development and training within this role will be offered and prioritised. There is an expectation that hours are worked flexibly over a rota basis which does include nights and weekends. We have full time and part time hours available.


You will require good communication skills, a team work approach and be able provide a high standard of nursing care with the support of your team.

Main duties, tasks & skills required

As a Bank Nurse in the Emergency Department and the wider Hospital, you will:


Provide high-quality care to paediatric and adult patients in emergency situations.


Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care for adults and children of all ages.


Work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, healthcare assistants, and specialists.


Ensure family-centered care is provided and offer emotional support to parents and guardians.


Participate in the assessment and management of acutely ill and injured adults and children.


Be part of a supportive, professional, and passionate team committed to delivering the best outcomes for paediatric and adult patients.


Contribute to continuous improvement and participate in clinical audits and training.
