Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant or experienced Care assistant who is wanting to make the next step in their career to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in our care home. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and supervise a team effectively. This role is vital in ensuring that our residents receive the highest standard of care while maintaining their dignity and independence.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Supervise and mentor junior staff members, fostering a supportive team environment. Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Participate in training sessions and continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge. Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to within the care home environment. Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.

Requirements

Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively is highly desirable. Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them accurately. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach towards residents. Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes. A commitment to providing high-quality care and promoting the well-being of all residents.
