to join our weekend-only service, working on a flexible, self-employed basis.

This is a

Key Responsibilities

As a therapist at Aion Clinic, you will:

Deliver high-quality, person-centred therapy as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting clients with complex and long-standing mental health needs. Closely reference and adhere to Aion's conceptual framework to deliver therapeutic interventions in line with our evidence-based ketamine-assisted psychotherapy model. Conduct clinical assessments, develop psychological formulations, and deliver structured therapy throughout a defined 8-week treatment schedule. Maintain professional standards in line with your accrediting body (e.g. HCPC, UKCP, BACP), and work within relevant ethical codes and clinical guidelines. Participate in clinical supervision (1:1 and peer-based), training, and reflective practice as part of your ongoing development. Attend multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and contribute to patient reviews and service development initiatives. Work flexibly to support the safe and effective delivery of treatment, including both in-person and remote sessions as required.

About You

We're looking for therapists who:

Are passionate about working with individuals experiencing complex or long-standing mental health challenges. Hold appropriate professional qualifications and registration (e.g. Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology with HCPC registration, or UKCP/BACP registration with a recognised core therapeutic qualification). Have at least 2 years of post-qualification clinical experience. Are confident delivering structured psychological therapy and adapting formulations for people with a range of needs. Have experience using third-wave CBT approaches (e.g. ACT, CFT, DBT, MBCT) in clinical practice. Can work effectively with individuals in distress and offer grounding support, particularly within altered states of consciousness. Are confident in assessing and managing risk, in line with safeguarding and clinical governance procedures. Have experience working within a multidisciplinary team and contributing to shared decision-making and service development.

Desirable but not essential:

Previous experience delivering ketamine-assisted or psychedelic-assisted therapy, or interest in emerging treatments. Experience supporting individuals in altered or expanded states of consciousness. Ability to work through a limited company or hold appropriate self-employment insurance.
